Easybuy phone is an instalment payment plan for smartphones in Nigeria, which was an initiative of Transsion company owner of Palmpay and palmcredit. The service is available for all their subsidiary smartphone products, including Tecno, Infinix, and Itel phones. It has also been extended to other smartphones, including Vivo oppo and most Chinese phone brands. The easybuy payment plan is to make buying smartphones easy and flexible for low-income earners and also for those who can pay at once.
How does the easybuy payment plan work
The initial price of the phone will be inflated by adding some percentage to it since you are not paying at once and the percentage varies depending on the model of the phone you are opting for. 27%-30% is been added to the initial price of the phone. So if a phone costs 36k you will need to pay a total price of 46k for the total package which will be spread over 3-6 months. First is to make 30% down to get a three-month or six-month loan after which your document will be processed.
Easybuy Requirement to get a phone
Easybuy phone requirements are as follows
- BNV
- Phone number
- ATM card details
- Guarantor
- Valid ID Card
Once all the requirements are met you will be given the phone. Also, note that they will cross-check your credit scores on their database and if you owe any outstanding loan on either Palmpay or palmcredit, you will have to settle the loan before proceeding to the next step.
How to pay for Easybuy Product
Payment can be made via the bank details provided for you during the registration process or deducted directly from the ATM card used to register. lastly, payment can be done via the easybuy app which can be downloaded on the Play Store.

How to deactivate the Easybuy security plugin on Android
A security plugin is installed on all Easybuy phones to keep track of payments and is also used to disable the phone when you don’t meet up with the payment date. The plugin can’t be disabled or uninstalled because it has been programmed as system software, meaning that you don’t have any other option than to pay.
