How to Download Stream Gotv and Dstv on your Smartphone
In this post, I'll show you the step-by-step process to download, sign up, and watch GOtv on your mobile phone. This method works for Android and iOS devices, so follow along carefully, and you'll be set up in no time!
Step 1: Download the GOtv App
First, go to the app store on your phone. If you're using an iOS device, go to the App Store. If you're using Android, open the Google Play Store.
Once in the app store, type “GOtv” in the search bar. Be aware that there are two GOtv apps:
MyGOtv App(which is for customer service and managing your subscription)
GOtv Stream App (this is the one you need to download for watching content)
Scroll down until you find the GOtv Stream App. Download and install it on your phone.
Step 2: Setting Up the App
After the app is installed, open it. You'll be prompted to give the app permission to send notifications—go ahead and allow this.
Next, you'll be presented with a login page. If you already have a GOtv account, simply enter your phone number or email, followed by your password, to log in.
Step 3: Creating a GOtv Account
If you don’t have an account, click on **Create a MultiChoice ID**. Here’s how to do it:
1. Enter your email address.
2. Select your country (e.g., Nigeria).
3. Input your phone number.
4. Create a password that you’ll remember.
5. Click **Create MultiChoice ID**.
Step 4: Linking Your Smart Card Number
After creating your account, you'll be asked to enter your **smart card number** or **customer ID**. Your smart card number is the 10-digit number located at the back of your GOtv decoder.
This step is crucial because the subscription linked to your smart card number will determine the channels you can access on the GOtv app.
If your smart card number is handy, enter it and click **Find My GOtv Package**. If not, you can skip this step, but be aware that you won’t see any channels until your account is linked to a valid subscription.
Step 5: Start Watching GOtv
Once you're logged in, the app will reload, and you’ll be able to browse and watch all the available GOtv channels linked to your subscription. If you skipped entering the smart card number, you won’t see any channels, so make sure to add it later to get the full experience.
